thankful thursdays {15}

12.22.2010

happy thursday!
as always, here's my little weekly list of thanks
from project: cultivate thankfulness:
lazy mornings filled with coffee and family
straight A's for the semester (with one little minus on the side). holla.
a lovely evening chatting with lovely ladies
a memorable family party
lots of crafting & baking
reading. reading. reading.
being home for the holidays
a frigid (but fun) game of ultimate frisbee
celebrating another finished term with my nursing peeps
a much-needed haircut
catching up on sleep
skipping out on the holiday shopping crowds
actually having some time to chill
christmas cards
cooking with my momma
"Echoes of Christmas" with the fam
catching up with far away friends
a sweet Chinese exchange student who's staying with my fam
a beautiful advent season
and most of all, I am thankful for Jesus...
for the God who chose to come dwell among his people as Emmanuel.

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. {Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:21; Isaiah 9:6 ESV}
